Board recommends to the general membership that we accept the 2004-05 budget with proposed amendments:

New Business
The Executive Board recommends to the general membership that we purchase the lock-down classroom kits for classrooms and offices at a cost not to exceed $3,000. Discussion followed with motion passed.
It was moved by Chris Powell that we give a $250.00 donation to the South Bay Youth Project. Discussion followed with motion carried.
Marcy Dugan moved to donate $50.00 to the Education Foundation in honor of Carlene Tanaka. Motion carried.
Principal’s
Report –
Dr. Hart
Dr. Hart reviewed the upcoming events and sports for the month
of October, He explained about Focus Groups for the high school asking for
volunteers. November 1st will
be a staff development day with UCLA faculty assisting groups of ESUSD
teachers. He explained how monies earned
from the television and movie rentals of ESHS were used.
School Board
Report – JoAnn Edlefson
The dedication of the new Science and Arts building will be
October 25th at
The band is looking for host families for visiting Austrian
students from October 12th – 27th. The summer board approved a program for a
speaker to visit the middle school and high school to discuss TeenLine. ROAD is working to set up this program, which
is presently available to students.

Kathie reported for Tammy that we are waiting for forms from the
district to begin by-law changes.
Fund-Raising – Barbara Briney
A total of $1550.00 of new brick orders have been received. These will hhopefully be installed by Homecoming.
Membership – Joan Lindsay
Our membership currently has 608 members with $610.00 in
donations. A total of 39 teachers,
school board members and our superintendant have joined.
Reflections – Yvonne Portillo
Marva Murray gave the report in Yvonne’s absence. Teachers have been notified and posters have been displayed around the school. Flyers have been given to each teacher for their classroom. Students may enter any or all of the areas.
Any information needs to be given to Tammy by October 8th. Email will come out on November 1st.
Freshman
Class Report - Beth Muraida
The freshman class will be selling ESHS ornaments at homecoming.
Blankets are sold out and a waiting list has been formed. They are selling polo and sweat shirts.
Junior Class Report– Kathy Buck
The junior class is in charge of football snack bar and the coronation. They are working on putting together a better procedure book for the junior parent representatives.
Senior Class Report – Marcy Dugan
The Halloween party will be October 30th at Stick and Stein. They are looking for Silent Auction items. Homecoming tee shirts will be for sale at homecoming.
