DRAFTING RUBRIC

 

Rubric scoring

 

6(Truly exceptional; A)

The student demonstrates an in depth understanding of drafting principals and concepts and work is consistently correct, complete and on time.  Drafting work is exceptionally neat and organized.  .  The student works efficiently and quickly to complete assignments.  The student works consistently to improve skills, is self-motivated and demonstrates an exceptional attitude and intuition toward class.

 

5(Commendable; A-)

The student demonstrates a solid understanding of Drafting principals and concepts.  Work is complete, on time and may contain minor flaws.  Drafting work is neat and organized.  Student works quickly and efficiently to complete assignments.  The student is usually on task and is self motivated.

 

4(Satisfactory; B or C+)

The student demonstrates a general understanding of Drafting principals and concepts.  Work is complete, neat, usually on time but contains flaws.  The student communicates solutions for most tasks.  Student is able to solve problems without connecting or extending concepts.

 

3(Proficient; C)

The student demonstrates a basic understanding of Drafting principals and concepts. Work is usually on time but not always complete and contains flaws.  Work is not neat and clean. The student’s ability to comprehend the concept being taught is limited.  Student outcomes demonstrate simple awareness and the student communicates explanation of solutions for some tasks.  The student demonstrates an indifferent attitude towards work.

 

2(Limited; C- or D)

The student demonstrates a limited understanding of Drafting principals and concepts and little evidence of correct solutions to problems.  Student jworks is below average – drawings habitually late, not complete, contains major flaws and are not neat.  The student demonstrates a negative attitude toward class and work

 

The student 1(Minimal; D- or F)

The student demonstrates little or no evidence of understanding of Drafting principals and practices.  The student demonstrates a negligible ability and substandard skills in completion of assignments.  Work is seldom on time and usually not correct or complete.

The student disrupts class environment and does not follow rules and regulations.
