Computer Applications – Second Semester

(Microsoft Office 2000)

                Microsoft Office 2000 includes several computer application packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. These tools, used to aide in the process of document formatting, presentation, calculation, organization, and communication, have been integrated to some extent within the overall application package of Microsoft Office 2000. Evidence of both knowledge and the useful application of that knowledge (skill) can be observed by reviewing the project work completed in these areas. All projects submitted for credit must be complete and accurate (including formulas and functions used in calculations), and submitted before the final due date.

                Since all project work which is not of mailable-standard (perfect formatting and proofreading) is returned to the student for revision, and a final due date is set for all projects to be submitted, the following rubric can be used to measure both quality and quantity simultaneously.

                Rubric based on completed mailable projects:

6 = 9 or more projects

                5 = 8 projects

                4 = 7 projects

                3 = 6 projects

                2 = 5 projects

                1 = 4 projects
