Business Mathematics Rubric
Evidence of understanding and the application of
that understanding to the solving of practical mathematical problems are
measured in points. Points are earned in
two ways.
Points for daily class work are earned by fully completing
the assigned problems and clearly and legibly identifying each step of the
solution to each problem. Ten points are
earned for fully completed assignments and partial credit granted for partially
completed work (e.g. 50% for work only half completed).
Nine tests per semester are given 100 points each
based on a percent of correct answers.
Each problem, in order to receive credit must be supported by a valid,
legible sequence of mathematical calculations, which demonstrates understanding
of the problem as well as the solution process.
Rubric scoring for total points earned
6
= 100 points earned
5
= 90-99 points earned
4
= 80-89 points earned
3
= 70-79 points earned
2
= 60-69 points earned
1
= Less than 60 total points
