Student Health Fair

El Segundo High School offered its first ever Health Fair during lunch on Friday, March 23. This exposition featured several opportunities for students to educate themselves about their personal health and ways to maintain physical fitness. Students who attended the fair calculated their Body Composition, Body Mass Index, antioxidant levels, acid alkaline levels, and blood pressure. In addition, they had a chance to see the damaging effects of the sun on their skin, learn about the sugar content of common types of junk food, and measure their flexibility. Information about local gyms, smoothies and energy bars for tasting, and exercising activities were also provided. The health fair helped to improve the awareness of physical health and fitness, showing the students at ESHS the importance of keeping in shape and offering many useful ways to do so.
