Claudia Rebora
By Kim

On Sept. 11, 1989 Alejandro and Pillar Rebora welcomed their beautiful daughter Claudia Maria Rebora into the world. As the eldest of three daughters Claudia was a natural born leader. With a list of extra curricular activities that range from being the Captain of the varsity cheer team to being the Vice President of French Club, no one can accuse Claudia of lacking school spirit.
Growing up Claudia was the definition of a tom boy. She was a talented soccer and softball player; she loved being outdoors playing and excelling at any sport. Her competitive nature landed her awards such as Most Spirited and Best Leadership Skills. Claudia jokes of her childhood saying "Not going to lie, I was the sun in my parents’ eyes. It was really fun being a kid. Sometimes I wish I could go back and just hide in the laundry baskets again with my little sissies [Pamela and Mariel Rebora]."
While she does once in a while reminisce about her child hood there is no denying her excitement to go off to college. In the fall of 2007 Claudia will be heading off to Colorado Boulder University as an economics major. Despite her enthusiasm she includes, “I’m going to miss everyone who I leave behind for Colorado, except Joshy because he's coming to college with me! No matter where I am though I will always be a California girl at heart." While Claudia was raised in the area she spent her adolescent years growing up in Hawthorne. When she was thirteen her family relocated to the center of El Segundo. "When my parents first told me I was moving to El Segundo I was very reluctant. Yet I've grown to really enjoy and love this place because of all the people I've met and the life long friends I've been able to make here."
Claudia is well known for being out going and hyper. Her good friend Kimberly Ip says “We met the first week of freshman year while walking from the old district buildings. She just randomly came up to me and introduced herself. That's just the kind of person she is." Claudia's other friends including Joshua Newsom, Rebecca Betran, Amber Snuffer, and Emily De Cordova all contest to her fierce loyalty. Nicknamed "Abusive" she really is the kind of person who would defend her friends honor in any situation. With her tae kwon do background she really is a threat to be reckoned with. No one messes with her or her friends.

Claudia is one of the most amazing girls I know. Without her I highly doubt that I would have been able to survive at El Segundo High. She is a protector of friends, a great party buddy and my best friend. Claudia is the sister God did not give me. I know she is destined for greatness and all of you just have to wait and see.
