Matt Maiellaro and Dave Willis, writers of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, the show aired on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, have made an Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie, titled Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters. This should be loosely termed a movie, because it just seems like an eighty-six minute episode of the show. Being a long episode of the show is not a bad thing. The movie is about the main characters Frylock, Master Shake and Meatwad, who gain a legendary piece of exercise equipment dubbed the INSANOFLEX which s said to have powers beyond any other mortal exercise machine but they are missing a key piece that is needed in activating it. They embark on a journey to the South Jersey Shore to find the missing piece and on the way run into many characters from the show such as the Moonanites, Walter Melon, Dr. Weird, Time Lincoln and the German aliens Oglethorpe and Emory. In the movie the origins of the three protagonists are explained.
What’s bad about this movie is that you will most likely not enjoy
watching it at all if you do not currently watch the show. None of
the characters or their backgrounds are explained. You should not go
see the movie if you have never watched the show. If you really want
to go see it, it is highly advised to watch at least a couple of the
episodes before you go. However if you are a follower of the show it
is quite enjoyable and covers some things, such as the origin of the
Aqua Teen Hunger Force, that is not talked about in the show.
Whether you will enjoy this movie or not is determined on whether
you watch the show or not. |
