FASHIONS !

It is time to go back to school. And all of you know what that means. New teachers, new classes, and for some of us new friends are all a part of coming back to school. There is one other thing that comes along with the new school year: new clothes. For a lot of us going back to school is the perfect time to take advantage of all of the clothes that our parents give us for money, because if your parents are anything like mine you have to beg and plead for more clothes. But as we come back to school we see all different types of clothes. There are halter- tops, sandals, combat boots, and mini-skirts (maybe even MICRO-SKIRTS). Whatever it is that you’re wearing I'm sure expresses your own personal style and individuality.

Now, gentlemen, you may not understand where I'm coming from. You guys really don't seem to care that much about fashion. I mean all you need is a white t- shirt, a pair of pants (4 sizes too large), and maybe the newest pair of Jordan's and some Timb's (Timberlands… for those of you that don't know.) I also know that some of you will walk out of your house without even thinking about brushing your hair (I can tell), and you still think you look like you just walked off the cover of GQ. Although, I have to congratulate you guys for having that kind of self- confidence.

Ladies, on the other hand, are quite a bit different. Not to say that we are neurotic about the way we look. We just tend to care a little more about our appearance. We also need a little bit more variety in our wardrobe. We have to go through halter tops, tank tops, tube tops, shorts, skirts, long skirts, mini-skirts, micro-skirts, flares, capris, long sleeves, short sleeves, tie-dyed, princess t-shirt, brat t-shirt, and every single color in the entire universe. After one day of shopping you are so exhausted.

But whether you are a guy or a girl (sorry, man or woman) you are an individual and the way you look should be an expression of who you are. I hate to say it but the way you dress is the way that people are going to perceive you. And I know that the way you look and the way that you really are may be the complete opposite, but if someone is just meeting you for the first time they can only go on what they see. Now, I am definitely not telling anyone to change just because I say so; you are the only one who truly knows what you want. I am just saying that your clothes may mean a lot more than you think.

It really doesn't matter what I say; you do what you want. You have your own style. Well, I have wasted enough space in the computer. Just remember that the way you look really does express who you are. So be true to your self and who you are.
