Editorial According to school officials, we will be moving into the new building approximately two months ago. For all construction, take the amount of time the contractors tell you it will take, multiply it by pi, cube it, then square it, round up to the nearest hundred-thousand, and then you might be close to the real time. Originally, the main building was supposed to be finished at the end of October, so we all assumed from the beginning that it would be done around the end of June. They have sped things up quite a bit. They now say it should be done only two short months after the proposed date, which would make this construction a feat unparalleled in the annals of construction history. After the proposed date of finish fell by the wayside, the end of November was going to be the date for the move. According to school officials, rain has caused the move to now be scheduled for the beginning of January. Who knows what the date for the move will be by the time this is published? Needless to say, this construction took a long time. As it took such a long time, we should treasure and revere it. "Vandalism will possibly be punished by capital punishment," said Dr. Hart, who was apparently kidding, "Whatever happens to them is fine with me." Ha. Now that the main building nears completion, we can finally look forward to luxurious amenities, such as lockers. But every silver lining has a dark cloud. The library building is going to be renovated next and all of the classes are going to have to move out of there. Because some higher authority has it in for the class of 2003, we have been present for every construction or move at Center Street, the Middle School, and, now, the High School. Perhaps, once we distribute throughout the colleges of America, our luck will improve.
